There were moments in his world that he knew he had to find something better for the life he wanted to live. He was not a man that wanted to achieve greatness or be an all aspiring leader. But he wanted to have something more for Jewel and her family. He felt that the best way to prove himself to her was to search for meaning. He wasn't sure what he could do, but he was willing to try it. As vasilis was making his way around the border of the cove the mist had opened up to a land untouched, and as the mist cleared his eyes felt as though they were shinning under bright starlight. An unknown passion, something deep and engraved in his being called him to go forth and take it first before someone else did before him. His feet drew heavy on the landscape before stopping and releasing a primal sound. 'This is mine, This is where I will start a new!' he didn't care if his enemies heard his voice, didn't care who came. He wanted to provide something more for Jewel and this was the next best thing. Get a pride and show her he was stronger enough to stand beside her.


He scented his paws into the ground and claimed it. This was his now. Who dare take it?

Jyzara wandered the far edges of the coves grounds, noticing the fog lift. And that drew her further down the sand bank. Then a call goes out. A claim of sorts it seemed. Feeling her fur brissal because of the closeness to her home she moved with speed. It was a scent and voice she recognized once she arrived. So you wish to claim this land.. tell me what make you fit to rule" her voice serious, standing tall and proud. She was a queen and she would show it.

He wasn't alone for long. His honey-colored eyes dipped over to the form that graced not far from where he stood. She smelted like Jewel. His eyes squinted - he would look over the woman before taking a breath to answer her. His voice never trembled and he stood with purpose as he looked. "It's not a wish to claim it." he stated matter of factly before blinking his eyes "What makes me fit? Because I am capable of carrying my own weight and others, Because I seek to create a place the feels like a home to everyone who enters. I am strong enough to protect the lands either by myself or with those who follow in the same mind as my own." he tells her, his voice thick and yet sweet like honey.

He didn't move from his spot, instead guarded it as if it was his child as if it was Jewel under his toes. He rolled his shoulders back, aligning himself in case of anything that may happen. "I have enough experiences in my life that I know I can be a proper leader. And yet I am not so old to the point where I must make someone battle for me. I possess skills that unlike many of my gender lack in wanting to learn and I am open-minded to obtaining more knowledge that will benefit those who reside under and beside me." He paused.

"I will not rule with a bloody paw and lackluster promises but one that can lead with correct merits to those around me. I seek to be the voice of those who don't have one for themselves." he tells her as he stands in wait. What will she do now? His face never changed emotion, now he was dead set on his agenda. He would make a place safe for Jewel and for anyone that needed it. He might not have had a fighter's upbringing but he was damned to try and prove his worth to her, to this woman, and to all that desired to try and see him fall. He would continue to stand up again and again.

Amra had been spending just a little bit of time away from 'home' lately, given that she felt no attachment to the place or to any of those within it. Gwyn, from his initial speech, seemed to be a fair and just type, not immediately slinging women under the bus which was nice given how big he thought his balls were. Rythian on the other hand, she was still unsure about him.
But today was not the day to dwell on could haves and would haves. Today she was wandering near the shoreline, perpendicular to the entry passageway they'd all traipsed across. The sand flowed between her charcoal toes, smooth and warm, the sun beating down upon her back. In the distance, across the ocean, dark clouds boiled, threatening the imminent arrival of snow and storms as winter closed in around them.
Amra was determined to make the most of the good weather while it lasted.
It just so happened that she paused at the same time a roar echoed across the beach, that the reason she could see the dark clouds out to sea was because the fog blocking off this corner of the island had dispersed, allowed the lions now living within a bit more land to explore.
Seems she was a bit late to the party.
She hurried forward all the same, arriving on the tail end of what the woman had said, and then hearing the male in full as to why he thought he was fit to rule."I mean, to be fair, it doesn't matter what you think that may or may not make him fit to rule unless you intend on challenging him." Amra wasn't usually argumentative, but she was fond of the male who had staked his claim on the pride, having met him once before in the Bat Caves.
At this, she flashed Vasilis a big grin, more like her usual self, and greeted him. "I hope nobody challenges! Or if they do, that you win." Cheery disposition as ever, Amra dipped her head to both Vas and to the woman who stood there poised regally, and seated herself off to the side, willing to wait the usual time frame to see if anyone would contest the claim before making her leave. Always good to know what was the go around these parts.

As the new lions moved further inland discovering much more of it this new claim came to no surprise. Before the dust settled Rythian fully expected even more claims and challenges. Hoping that there would be another fight he could watch the large dark tawny lion moved toward the lagoon spotting the lion who wished to rule and at least pleased to see it was indeed a lion.

Nearby to the stranger wishing to claim was a familiar sight along with another lioness and Rythian could hear that words were exchanged but was not quite close enough to hear what it was all about. His towering form pausing a few steps behind Amra. "I hope she is not giving you any trouble." His words spoken to Amra not that she likely needed Rythian as a guardian of sorts but he did not want some random lioness giving any member of the Hollow a hard time. The Hollow's Heir now glaring towards Jyzara making it clear that he would protect her if needed.

Another claim. While the idea of having more than two potential homes was nice and all, she didn't know any of the faces that called for them. She missed the complicated simplicity of her old home, where she knew every royal and their personalities enough to make judgment. Here she was reduced to nothing more than another peasant face in the crowd, and while that would not typically be an issue, it felt empty without the prospect of Drakon's protection. Hecuba hadn't a clue where their last conversation left them, but that was alright. At least for now she could settle onto her haunches and forget about things while watching the show. Her attention drifted to Jyzara first of all, and then Amra. Hecuba said nothing, but would give a forced little smile and a nod should either of them glance her way.

The female had made it quite quickly here, bringing along herbs. Who knew, she may have a friend who needed help. The call did sound familiar, after all. The noble’s mismatched eyes scanned the crowd, noticing her pride mates, Amra and Rythian, and coming to stand near them. She set the herbs at her feet, glancing up to look at the contender, and becoming a bit shocked. So, Dirius had more ambition than Pistis had thought. She also recognized the scent on Jyzara, she must be from the same pride as Jewel, possibly that other sovereign she’d spoken of. Her tail flicked as she sat, glancing at Rythian, she spoke, “so, no one has contested Dirius’ claim?” She asked, a bit surprised. Normally contenders came soon and were prepared with teeth and claws. Gwyn had been a bit later to his claim, but not much. Perhaps he already had so many allies, no one was interested in contesting his claim. But she doubted it. She also doubted the man would acknowledge her after their first meeting. Even though it caused her a bit of pain. Pistis did not look fearful or nervous, instead holding herself with confidence, trying to represent Obsidian Hollow to the best of her abilities. She was a noble, after all, and she didn’t want anyone doubting it. She was also Gwyn’s mate, so she couldn’t allow him to be shamed by her appearance either. If Vasilis looked at her, she would offer a small nod and smile, but otherwise remained silent.

There was a very thin line between bravery and just stupidity. Tripfire was freakin oblivious to such things. Very oblivious. And sometimes ambition over ruled common sense. Hence the fiery red cub approaching the lion who had roared a claim. Hell no. Standing a few feet away he was far from intimidated by the lions size, that was just a challenge. Tripfire enjoyed challenges. Glaring at the lion he didn't even know he cleared his throat loudly and yelled, "yo! git yer arse outta my land!" it was a demand and far from a request.His fur bristled making him appear bigger while his ears flicked back his claws gripping the soil.

The Lagoon seemed like a beautiful place as the young ebony and silver lioness moved toward the shoreline. Her silver blazed nose sniffing at the water about to check if it was drinkable until suddenly Artemis found herself distracted as a rogue laid out his claim for the very land she stood upon.

Ruffling up her sleek fur the woman turned away from the shoreline and now putting all of her attention toward the claim keenly interested in who this would be King was. Quickly she would stride over to where the claim was happening and it seemed she was not the only observer to this event. Mismatched eyes looking around the crowd before gaze finally settled on Vasilis.

What kind of King would he be like? What kind of pride would this be like? Artemis fell back onto her haunches content with remaining silent and watching for now as she begun to weigh her options. Should this become her new home? She did need a pride to join after all.

KNEEL TO THE CROWN       The clamoring was enough to draw this colossus' attention. A cry to claim this newly revealed extension of the land. Followed shortly by the noise of others gathering to spectate. So the beast had come, too. He stood on a small rock, some distance away from the main scene, watching the various individuals arriving. It might've been enough to simply stay and observe, were it not for the sharp little voice that hollered challenge to the claiming man. A cub. Pale yes narrowed as he stepped down from the rock and paced into the crowd.       The intent was to confront the cub. Not that he figured the male who'd staked his claim would hurt the youth. But his path was momentarily diverted as his eyes spied a beautiful black and silver lioness. The clay Casimir stopped beside her, keeping his eyes on the cub and the claiming male. With an exasperated sigh, he leaned to the side to speak to her. "Are all males so foolish as cubs?"       The clay-clad colossus shook his head in seeming disappointment of the cub's actions. Then he started forward, and reached out with one paw to pat at the back of the child. "I wouldn't do that if I were you."
