This landscape had its interesting places. So many scents as well to take in yet he hadn’t really stopped and chatted with any of them. Perhaps it would be a good idea to get to know some of the locals? At least learn about some of the prides. Heck finding out what prides are getting along could be fun. Not that he wanted to get mixed up in petty piss shows but messing with them could be a blast. Oh yes. That made an evil grin cross his face. At the moment though he was hungry. So as he wandered he searched through the scents and licked his lips before chuffing to see if anyone was around to join him for a hunt.

Parvati darted between pockets of heat and shade. The mountain stone was cool where the great blockade intercepted the sun, but the open spaces of granite steamed and rippled from a distance. Parvati tried to avoid those and keep to the cool shadows where interesting things were growing. At the note of a chuff, they lifted their skull and froze. Strangers. Great. A ripple of anxiety rent through their chest. Parvati wanted to hunt but they hadn't planned on it. They didn't want a whole bunch of strangers coming around and messing with their plans. But they were hungry.

Parvati decided to view the possible hunting party from a safe distance. They moved further up the path, creeping low with their toes spread and selectively stepping on larger, firmly grounded stones and not the dirt that would have shown their tracks too clearly. There was nothing they could do about their scent but hopefully by obscuring their most recent trail they could evade any merely-curious operators. They bellied down near the edge and looked around, only their eyes moving, until they spotted the adult that had called. From here Parvati could see how many would join and from that information would decide whether to participate.

The tattered lioness ranged along the rocky paths leading to the labyrinth with her nose to the ground. It was hard to tell the difference between hoofprints and chance indentations in the scree. She'd caught game scent off a pile of dung and followed the trail, but it was fading out and she was getting frustrated. When she heard someone call out (male, adult, authoritative) she whirled around and trotted toward him, eager and desperate and looking at him like he was familiar even though she hadn't seen him before but she'd seen his kind. Someone who she might let give her an order or two, if it seemed like a good idea. He might have a plan. Walpurgis sure didn't.

She paused nearby, giving him a silent grin at first but taking a broad sniff around before addressing him again. "I saw a poop pile nearby! I think it's a goat. And...." she smelled again, opening her jaws to take a noisy whistle over the roof of her mouth. "More lions. We can kill a goat just us. Well, I can kill a goat by myself--" lest anyone doubt Whopper had full faith in her smashing abilities "but if it's a big herd then we need more lions cause too many prey they get confusing and run away from us and then we all hungry."

Calamity crept towards the hunt, having smelled the prey and other lions. Whatever it was going on, he didn’t doubt it would be a successful hunt. Their eyes caught glimpse of the sandy fured matcho of a man that was @"Newt" and grinned, sneaking up to him.

“Heyyy Kitten.” He whispered softly. “Room for a hungry lilac lion, because I am starving. And could use- a snack.” He asked in a taunting manner. He looked around, catching glimpses of the other lions. “And this will be fun. A lot of it!” He added with a low purr.

A hunt was as good a distraction as ever in the situation that she had been put into. A few moments where she could focus on the end result and hope for the best. The weather was certainly kind enough as the sky was bright blue and the clouds spotted across its canvas. Spring showers were a thing of the past now and as they moved into summer, animals would begin to take flight towards the nearest bodies of water and any shade that they could find. Thus, the travel into the Labyrinth was a most skillful idea and Zulema understood why she had tracked the animal here and why others had come, too. So the carmine lioness simply shrouded herself in darkness and waited.

four years, no trade bonuses

The heat of the summer led the ebony lioness back toward her old haunts on her way home, dipping back into the familiar darkness of the Labyrinth... just in time, it seemed to participate in a hunt. She saw the familiar ruby shape of Zulema but stopped herself short of coming alongside her, in case she didn't want the company. Still, Morrigan would linger nearby, waiting for whoever had called them here to give some directive. She might not have been a hunter by trade, but she had enough hunts under her belt to be useful at least. Even if all she did was help the kill along.

Head down the maned lioness was hungry. Her nose wiggled wildly as the scent of something yummy. She had been following something for a bit of time now and found herself entering the Labyrinth. Ears twitching she picked up the subtle sounds of movement. Following the scent and the sounds she came across the hunting party and decided it would be good to hunt with others. She could hunt without others but better chance of success if prey is bigger with more than just herself. “Rose. Allow me to help.” She said softly as she set herself up next to the others. Her Estonian accent strong as she gave each one here a nod of her head. Turning her gaze from the others she focused on the prey.

The petite male lion was not generally the most active, finding he didn't care to do much unless of a particular mood. Hunting was difficult for one his size when he was on his own, but in a group, he could focus more on strategy instead of brute strength in bringing something down. He might like to bring some food back home for the family, if only to show he was capable of pulling his own weight. He hated to see their stores of food as low as they were, accustomed to always having midnight snacks back in their old home.

A trail had been left by a potential meal, one that he assumed would lead him to the group of lions that were hunting it. Soon enough they would appear on the horizon and his steps would be a little faster now, not wanting to miss out. Head would tip in silent greeting to those gathered, waiting on further instruction.

A good majority of these lions were considerably larger than him, he wasn't bothered by this, more than accustomed to lions of large stature and being quite capable of staying out from underfoot.

The first to arrive smelt of a pride, but it mattered not many that arrived smelt of a pride. Though there was a couple that drew his eyes with how pretty they where. @Calamity was surely the most important one the draw his attention. Giving him a smile he moved to rub against the lion before narrowing his eyes at @Walpurgis “It isn’t a herd of goat. You need to broaden your mind.” He didn’t hiss or even talk to her in malice. Just told her she needed to use her creative a little more when hunting. With the amount of lions they had gathered they could go after a much better and better prey than a mere goat. And they did. At the end of the hunt they had successfully taken down a Rhinoceros. Newt was tired but with a cheeky grin on his face took a good chunk of meat. His share and wandered next to Calamity to speak. “How about you and I find some shade outside at the entrance and make this a dinner date?” He chuffed softly into the man’s ear before taking his food and walking off.
