Prompt: Two curious kudus break away from the rest of their herd, entranced by the lushness and idyllic nature of the lagoon, as they trail closer. The pair stops just shy of the pride's borders, allowing themselves to graze on some of the tropical foliage, just for a few moments or so.

Oberon notices the prey animals at the border. stalking toward them through the sparse foliage offered, he is on his belly as he creeps closer. others would be along, surely. there was no reason to chuff and scare the kudu. licking his lips, the king waits and sees who else shows. two was better than one, and that went for the prey as well. the kudu would surely be welcomed in their growing cache. their grazing goes as well as they hope, unaware of the lion(s) approach. he planned to keep it that way too. the worst thing would be to scare them and let an opportunity get away.

Age: 2 years, No trade bonuses

Hattie was out of her comfort zone in the Lagoon but she knew she had to push herself in order to put her past behind her. Although she stuck to her own since coming here she wanted her pridemates to know that she was still trying regardless, even if she was a bit socially awkward. Deep down she wanted nothing more then to help and if that meant going outside of her comfort zone she would certainly do that. On this particular day she hadn't been planning to be 'social' but when she spied two Kudu grazing along the borders she stopped her exploring and instead changed her route. Deep ruby eyes were quick to catch a glimpse of Oberon to which she moved to try to hide her own positioning. From her hiding place she would wait for his single in hopes that they would be able to take down both of the prey for their food cache.

Inez was tired from caring for everyone. Not that she hated anyone for it she was just tired and so she needed to do something different. Moving away from her den she followed a couple scents. One she wasn’t sure about but one was @Oberon. Following it quickly until she found the scent of Kudu on the wind. This made her slow and become low. Making her way to the others she stopped at the left side of @Hattie. Not right on top of her but near enough. Giving a nod she looked over the girl before her eyes shot to the prey. Watching them she was still and silent as they waited for more to arrive for the hunt. Hopefully enough arrive quick enough that they could successfully take down both Kudu.

5 yrs old - no bonus

The herd of Kudu's was enough to gain his attention, a prey so hardly missed as it was, and Vasilis's jaws tensed. They were much bigger than his normal everyday meal or snack that he hunted for himself, generally which was fish, birds, reptiles and already slain beasts that fell from injury or old age. But he was determined to try and hunt without breaking down. He was slightly late to the ground as he watched @Oberon, @Inez and @Hattie be the first upon the scene. Vasilis stops short and waits, would he be able to help them or make it worse? No! Head up and chin straight Vasilis - you could do this! You would not fail here! He wanders closer, dropping his body low against the island grasses as he turns to watch Inez nod to Hattie. Well, shoot had they already made plans for this hunt before he showed up? He would wait to see what or where he would be needed before springing into action.

2 years old / no bonuses Alma's golden eyes landed upon the group of Kudu's that were unawareñu calling for the pride's attention. Where they dumb enough to grass just right into a lion's land? Well, it seemed they were and that stupidity would cost them their lives, either be by her or anyone else from this pride. She crouched as her pride mates did, ready to pounce as soon as Oberon called for it, her muscles were tense and like a hawk she didn't take her eyes from the two potential kills, ready to do her best, hoping no one would mess up with the hunt. That was a possibility with more than one lion taking part in a hunt, but she hopped this wouldn't be the case.

The wound on Titania's leg was healing nicely. The last few days had been spent limping around the island, then walking, until graduating into a run. Today, she wanted to find something useful to do, and so she followed the scent of her pridemates, finding them targeted on a pair of unsuspecting kudus.
Feeling ready to put her recovery to the test, Titania snuck up towards Oberon and then lay still on her stomach, waiting for the command to pounce.

Dice were rolled in discord by @Shark. You can play out the remainder of the hunt however you’d like.

Waiting for others she noticed that everyone seemed to gather quickly which she was glad to see. Eyes narrowed as their prey just grazed without a care in the world. Her eyes drifted to the plants and she had to hold back a growl at the thought that if the Kudu was so daring to waltz in and graze on their borders would the by brave enough to just go help themselves to her garden? All the work she had put into that thing she hoped not. Well it mattered not. Not for the Kudu anyways as soon enough the hunt at started. Following @Oberon’s orders the prey went down and she was pleased. Standing back catching her breath she panted as she looked over everyone for injuries before given the go ahead to eat. Having only seventy-five percent of her share like normal the lioness would leave the rest of her fair share for the others. The few bites she got would keep her going for a bit at least. “Well done everyone.” She chuffed before taking her leave to clean herself up and go do her rounds.

absolutely perfect. a few mistakes here and there, surely, but that didn't matter. the kudu were felled and would be added to the cache. Oberon puffs his chest out, happy that the pride had gathered for another amazing moment. Inez was ever present, Diuris was getting over his fears and Alma was participating despite her newness. even Titania came out to hunt and she had no obligation to do such a thing. Inez expressed gratitude, causing Oberon to chuckle. "yes, great work" he adds before dragging some of the prey (which was one of the kudu) back to the cache. winter was upon them, obviously. they needed to add to the cache when possible.
