he calls to the pride to gather. pacing along the north end of the Lagoon, Oberon waits for the hunting party to gather. he couldn't let Inez and Isolda do all the work, could he? winter was upon them and he had to make sure the pride was stocked. they needed more food to fatten up. spring was months away. gazing across the waters to Caladan, he hoped Jewel and her pride were fairing well.

maybe if they caught a big piece of prey, it'd offer an excuse to drag it to their neighbor... he was trying not to rush to see his former mentor. he worried. so much had happened lately, it was becoming irksome. attacks on all sides. tragedy everywhere. Oberon just wanted to have a good time, and he wanted others to be happy too. his head turns to look at the incoming pride, flashing them a smile. it was a bit forlorn.

5 yrs - No bonus !

Vasilis decided that it was time to get over his fear, he was tired of not being able to use his pure strength in things other than helping with recruiting and lifting heavy stuff, he wanted to hunt too, he wanted to help take food resources in and not be on the sidelines. He wasn't sure how it would go down since the last time he tried he literally had blacked out from the fear of it all. Stepping alongside @Oberon's left he muses a smile as he hums. He stands still as he overlooks before him and the landscape - what would be on the menu today? His eyes twinkled with curiosity as he waited.

2 years , no perks

Alma has been doing her best to get familiar with a prided life,as she has been a loner for the majority of her life. She was sure it would take a while, but she didn't feel in rush in any way, she could go at her own pace right? And if someone pushed her to do that quicker she would just let them know how a bad idea that could be. But for now, she didn't feel the need for that.

So as she explored the Lagoon which actually surpassed her expactives, heard the call of the pride leader, one she had yet to know. As she arrived, she didn't feel shy or anything, she wasn't like that. Her expression remained serene as it always was. She saw Diruis to who she gave a small nod in acquaintance. And like that she just waited.

She was still settling into her new home, everything seemed quite surreal and Hattie wasn't even sure if this really was her new reality. Either way she was trying her best to put her past behind her and start fresh, no matter how difficult the task itself was. When the call came for them to gather the small strawberry lioness reluctantly left her hiding spot within her tiny den to follow the path of tracks left from her other pride mates. By the time she arrived a few others had gathered. The meek lioness took her place towards the back, she may have been timid but she was here nonetheless.

Having heard the call the wheat lady left her den to stretch her legs. Her muscles tight as she walked so she hoped for a good hunt. Or at least a good run. Still being able to get more food for their storage would be nice for it seemed a bit lacking for her taste. The pride had grown quiet a lot the last thing she wanted was for others to get so desperate they ate Ekon. She rather enjoyed the Ostrich though she hadn’t seen him in a few days. He was probably cawing like a crazy at the watering hole again. In any case she hoped he was safe.

Finding the gathered she looked at @Oberon and nodded a greeting to him. Her gaze than turned to the golden lion @Vasilis and the two other females there @Alma and @Hattie. Yes they had grown a lot. Making her way over she laid down next to Hattie in the back to help.

oh, a hunting they would go indeed. Wren sniffs the air idly before taking point at the back. ready to chase the prey toward the larger lions, who would end up taking its life. a life for a life. whoever was going to eat the prey results would be able to survive another round in this game we called life.

the young woman notices Diuris and Oberon again, along with the Lead Medic Inez and a pink hued woman nearby. she shoots the pink woman a look of encouragement - she seemed to be... ehhh, a bit scared. was this her first hunt? maybe, who knows. Wren didn't. settling along the beach, she begins to count the moments down.

Panting heavy the lioness was happy the hunt was so eventful and successful. Working together they were able to take down not one but two Giraffe Calves. This was good, this would keep the pride full for a bit. “Another one well done.” She cheered softly. Making her way around to everyone checking them over for injuries. Starting with @Oberon than moving to @Vasilis. Checking the lions over she would gently rub against the golden male purring sweetly before heading to @Hattie and looking her over but not touching. “Nice seeing you around, hope to see more.” She chuffed softly just to the small pink lady. Her attention going to @Alma and than @Wren. When she was finished she would wait for everyone to eat and then when all was done and ready help move the rest to the cache.

another success. what more could one hope for in the dead of winter? Inez is quick to depart after congratulating them all. a giraffe calf would feed them all for days. "nicely done" he says, aiming to bump against Diuris in a friendly way as he moves to eat as well. noticing Alma and Wren having joined them, he blinks happily at the females. Hattie even showed! she was shy but a hard worker. "dig in." he says to all involved, bending over to tear a chunk of flesh off the calf. he backpedaled to sit a few steps away from the others. once done eating, Oberon would help drag the remains back to the cache.

Hattie hadn't ever hunted with others before and to be hunting two giraffe calves for her first go was a bit intimidating. But thankfully with the help of the others they were able to bring not just one but both calves down. Hattie felt strong and capable and had even managed to surprise herself! She was coming out of her shell more, and if she could continue helping her pride she would gladly do so. Her ruby gaze locked with Inez, nodding her head politely as the woman encouraged her to come around more. "Will do." She answered softly, but nonetheless she was determined to try. Quickly and quietly she moved forwards to grab a small piece of meat for herself before retreating back to her own den.
