[OOC: +5 (+10) Scout a neutral Territory] The tunnels - much like the caverns were a criss-crossing maze that Sangria was intent on figuring out. The lioness wanted to know as much as she could about this realm she had stumbled into - and by god, she was going to find it. With a sigh, the carmine female heaved herself up onto another rock to survey her surroundings. Gone was the black sand of the shore, but in its place were small tidepools, the scent of fish and screeching of gulls. The temperatures of winter were slowly phasing out and she had to wonder if the beach side prides would truly be good for one of her.. bearing in the summer months. Perhaps, it would be best to keep searching. |

Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

All the most powerful emotions come from chaos -fear,anger,love- especially love. Love is chaos itself. Think about it! Love makes no sense. It shakes you up and spins you around. And then, eventually , it falls apart.

I had done well to sneak through the pass unnoticed. Passing the drooling idiots all vying for attention and acceptance there. It was honestly so pathetic, the way they all flocked together like sheep, unable to fend for themselves. I wanted no part of that life, though I sometimes mused about infiltrating one of those dens of ignorance and tearing it apart from the inside. It would surely be a fun game should I ever get bored enough to attempt it.
Dumb luck got me past the claimed land just past the pass... the stench of which was hard to miss. Gods did the smell of male ego make her nauseous. "I peed on it so it is mine." What an absolutely detestable practice. Men were so stupid it was a wonder they hadn't become extinct ages ago.
This place however, where the sandy beaches turned into large stone structures... this place held promise. I couldn't wait to explore the twists and turns carved out by ages of lashing waves and rising tides. The ebb and flow of life had written their stories within these tunnels. And besides... there was always the off chance of cornering some small unsuspecting creature and having a time of it.
But first, A good stretch. Fitness was important after all. I would need to stay in tip top shape if I wanted to make it on my own in this strange new place. So I would make an exercise out of my exploration. After limbering up, I'd scale the rocky tower, strengthening my limbs and core as I worked my way to the highest opening. I could follow the tunnels back down, using any chance I got to leap from one level to the next if I found myself out of pathway. And if I came to a dead end... I could always come back out and practice the fine art of climbing down. A good skill to have for a feline, as not many could do it.
On my way through the tunnels however, I eventually found myself face to face with a pair of bi-colored eyes. The owner of these eyes, was absolutely massive, causing me to wonder how she managed to fit in these tunnels to begin with. Her coat, not to be overshadowed by her size, was a brilliant reddish pink. Not a color I would pick out for myself, but it managed to make her look other-worldly here in the dark of the tunnels.
I hadn't smelled anything but the salt in the air. Hadn't heard anything but the crashing of waves. So to say I was surprised to find myself suddenly within striking distance of someone such as herself, was an understatement. I took a few steps back, ears pinning to my head as I took in the sight of her. "Well, hello there Bertha. Someone aught to put bells on you or something." I smiled despite my impatience at the sudden intrusion on my day, though I doubted it was warm or even friendly for that matter.
