July Y13
Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

She ran. And ran and ran. She ran with tears streaming down her face, staining her dark cheeks. She ran as far as she could from him. She ran not knowing where she was even going as her mind was clouded with pain and her heart ached from the blunt of his words. Of his sudden coldness. Bei had thought that she could help him understand and yet that hadn't been the case. Instead he had turned on her in a fashion that left her shattered. Bei ran into caves, ran into the labyrinth until she had to missed a step and fell into water. Coming to the surface, she gasped for air and scrambled to get back onto land where she laid there in a sobbing mess of strawberry wet curls. Curling into herself, Bei laid there and looked into the water. Bei felt useless.

There is a break in the silence that had fallen around him. He lay in the shadow of the chasm wall. Eyes on the water that lay in the distance. He had grown bored with the inner land of his own pride and had sought out solitude elsewhere. He had thought he had rid himself of any life that lingered around until the splash caused his head to jerk upward.
Ruby eyes watched as the cranium broke the surface in a gasp. Their body dragged out and lay on the ground in a mess of water and... tears? His heart ached and silently he cursed himself for the damned thing. Even as he pulled himself to a stand as he lingered toward her. "Miss... Are you well?". Of course she was not and having lived with so many females he half expected her to bat him away with a claw or two. The poor lass.

Bei hadn't realized that she had disturbed someone else's own slumber or solitude and when his voice echoed off of the walls she jerked up and to her feet. Quickly she tried to wipe away the tears but it was already obvious by the way of him asking if she was alright. She sniffled at him and glanced away. "I..No.. Not really.." She would hiccup between her sniffles. Bei wasn't the type to go and smack someone. She hadn't fought anyone and why would she do it now? Bei was a soft heart girl and that had just bitten her in the butt.

The girl was startled by him and in turn, it caused Tyrion to step back as he did not mean to do so. Eyes watched her carefully as she tried to hide the fact that she had been in tears by swiping away their trail upon her cheeks. The large brute gave a weak smile to try and comfort the lass. Her answered caused his ears to fall back to his cranium halfway. "Were you injured?" The tone of voice when the question was asked only hinted at the fact that the brute would gladly go and slay whatever creature it was that caused her the harm. Even for a stranger that he just met.

Once she was done wiping her face, her cheeks were left with dirt on them causing her mask to look much darker than it was and her white freckles to practically disappear. Not that she noticed as she glanced at him before shaking her head. "Not physically." Her voice, sweet as honey, was as soft as a feather. Tears wanted to form again and stain her cheeks as she closed her eyes tightly to keep them from falling. He was a stranger.. He didn't deserve to see this from her.

The brute ignored the mess that was her face. He figured it would only add to her sorrows if he mentioned it needed a wash. Just as he had feared, her injuries were not the kind he could make better with a herb or two and a bloody carcass. Emotions were something he had dealt with very little since his wife had left him some time back. Perhaps it was why she had left him. Due to his inability to be there for her in a dire time. He mentally shook the thought away. "I can hurt 'em." He offered still. Maybe a bloody carcass could still help, though he tried to seem as if it was a joke of some sort. "Or we can talk about it." If that was more her style.

She would be grateful at the end of it that he didn't mention her face but at the same time very embarrassed. Ears twisted on her strawberry head, listening to his words that only caused her to shake her head. "No.. please don't.." She still loved him. He was just angry right? But then he offered to talk about it and she peeked at him through one eye. Then the other opened and she sniffled again. "You.. you'd be willing to do that..?" He didn't even know her. "I'm Bei.." Introductions.

He chuckled at her reaction to his first offer. He hoped it lightened the mood enough, which it did seem to do so as she sniffled before she asked if he would do that. His head rose and he straightened his posture a bit as he reclined to sit a bit of a way from the pool edge. "Of course. Why don't you rinse the tears off-" He made no mention of the actual mess of her face. "Then we can get you dry and warm while you tell me about it." Head cocked to the side just slightly as he made his suggestion. "Tyrion Naito. I'm a native here to Amaryllis." He let it be known to the yearling he now had a name for. Bei.

He reclined a bit away from the pool and said that he would do just that. It caused her to smile a little bit. Was this what it would be like to have a dad? Bei had Georgia but she wasn't normally the type to just show emotions very easily, whereas Bei was. She wore them on her sleeve and it was becoming a bad habit. At the mention of her tears, Bei would blink and move to go and wipe her face in the pook and it would be there that she saw the dirt caked onto her face and she felt her face grow red with blush and she would take a paw and splash her face until it was all gone before she went back and sat down next to him. "Really? I didn't know there were natives here, that's neat." She would state, interested about it but her heart ached to be to excited about anything. Where would she even begin? There wasn't much to tell though.

He'd watch and wait as the girl gave her face a good wash off before she joined him. A small smile still eased over his lips at the mention of her lack of knowledge to the natives. It seemed most outsiders had no idea they existed. "Yes, my ancestors had discovered it and settled. Eventually, I was born to the lands. Some time ago I joined the Vermeda Brook, a pride that has been established for quite some time." Unlike the new ones that popped up in the lands that Maua had created. He figured it would be a good enough ice breaker to start with a bit of his own past before he moved on to hers. "Now, what could be so horrid as to bring tears to such a pretty face, hm?" He would ask in a much more gentle manner.
