He sat there, brooding on his thoughts to figure what was the best course of action. When she spoke about how heavy the crown was, he knew that all too well himself. He had seen many crowns rise and fall in his homeland. And only so far in between did one rise and stay where it had obtained. She asked to join them, and fully join the Lagoon as a member, his eyes float like a snap of fingers to look at her as he listened. He didn't say anything just yet. His mind thought of the possibilities of having the family of hers here, would it be his doom or his chance to rise. To show his words rang true to all nature of beings. They seemed to both hold the same regards in life, they both were raised differently, held family values very different from each own - but that was what made the world spin, that things were 'different' than one another. A Balance, if you will.


She then asked about getting the release of Amra, even if it was voluntary or not, she wanted to give the help that the child so deserved to have obtained. She needed her freedom so that her family could feel better about it as well. Vasilis swallows in deep thought. "@Ambrosine, You and your family, are welcome in the Lagoon. But first I need you and your family to understand the values I have in place here." He stated. "If I give you the power to do what is necessary - there are guidelines that must not be broken while you reside here." he looked to her. "If you agree to them, in a few day's time I will call for a gathering where I will release information to what ranks are held by whom. But If you feel that your family can not follow my wishes, then I will simply allow you to reside in the lagoon - as a normal unranked member with your family. I will do what I can to help make sure Amra is safe and well taken care of when I find her outside of the Hollow's territory. And if need be I will be there to support your back in hopes for her freedom." he tells her honestly.

She was not foolish enough to think he would welcome them with open, unquestioning arms. they were mot traditionally a family of peace and sweet pleasantries, or ones who subordination well or with grace. but they were a family of loyalty and of might, and ambrosine placed heavy weight upon her words and on her allegiances. she has, after all, built an empire for herself, and with it came a congregation of fealty family and kin.

given this, she is more than willing to listen to his terms. he was still king, after all, and she the one looking for shelter beneath his throne. "go on." she says, not impolitely, but rather plagued with interest to hear @vasilis’ terms, as her ears tilted forward and a single brow knits against her forehead. because this, this was the be-all or end-all moment, and she waits on baited breath to hear from spills forth next from those rich baritones and onyx lips.

He waits to see what she says, would she walk away? Say no? Or give him the chance to relay it? When she said 'go on' he didn't make her wait at all. "If you were to join us, each must pull their weight around the Lagoon. We are all family regardless of our blood ties, genders or ranks. " he started off. He scooted himself a bit so he could look at her a bit better. "Children who live here are a top priority along with the weak and elderly. Children will be raised, cared for, and protected by us ALL. Taking turns to care for the children when their family is out, or otherwise unable to do something. " He pauses.

"If someone from the Lagoon wants to leave, they may leave without issue or demands. There are to be NO trades of unequal value. If someone wants to leave to another pride or group - they will be escorted to that location to be sure they are safe and sound. If a Sovereign, King, Leader whatever they call themselves, do not want that member in their home they will be taken back to the Lagoon until they find another place to go or simply return to a life of being a rogue." he nods. Simple right?

"There are to be NO internal fighting. As I said we are all family here, we are all equal. If you have an issue take it outside the Lagoon and work it out civilly. If you join the ranks of the Lagoon I expect all to pull their weight protecting the borders, aiding those who need it - help those who ask for protection. This being said I do not tolerate anyone being forcefully claimed under my name and rule. No prisoners. No acts of violence against one another. No rape, no abuse. I don't care WHO you marry as long as both parties agree to it. I don't care HOW MANY wives, husbands, or lovers you take just be mindful of your actions." it was a mouthful but he had to tell her it. "Enemies are not welcomed - fight them off and out of our borders if they arise. Allies are to be treated with high respect and they are welcome within the borders and beyond without question. Trespassers will be pushed out - and held OUTSIDE the lagoon until I arrive." Vasilis takes a breath.

"@Ambrosine, If you agree to these terms of my home, I will welcome you with open arms. If you and your family will follow my rules I shall give you ranks and jobs to do. But if you can not agree to my terms, you will remain, simple pride members, until you decide to leave." He falls silent, his eyes watching hers. "So? Are these terms something you and your family can follow?" he asked wanting to know what she and her family would do under his doorstep. He had to make sure nothing was violated. nothing was broken. that all grounds were covered.

she waits, bracing for the weight of his expectations and legislation with poise and honour coating her complexion. and yet what comes is near relief — for his beliefs align near seamlessly with her own, barring a few minor details. he is, evidently, not as prone to violence as her family, but ambrosine was confident she could force their hand, if required. the life of a rogue was not suited for them any longer, and until they could take their own pride, this would be their home. and ambrosine was content with that. "i do not believe in claiming, nor do i believe letting others pull your weight. i hold my word and loyalty to a high regard, and though my family can be hot-headed at times, i can promise that we will follow your laws and respect your reign." a promise spoken for her and her family, gaze rising up to meet that of the king. "you should know that i would readily die to protect my family — and if we are to be a pride, temporarily or otherwise, that extends to you and the other members, as well." not that she planned on dying anytime soon, but the intention of her fealty was all the same. vasilis could expect respect and loyalty to his crown, so long as they remained on solid terms.

"i accept your offer. my young daughter and two sons will be joining, along with two others girls i am watching for their mother. and i hope my husband, manes, and vermier will do the same." and then amra — and perhaps even amara and ramona would find temporary solace in the lagoon.

She had agreed to his terms, that she would die for her family and the pride if they were to join it. He released a sigh of relief, that was good to hear she would accept it. "Then I hereby accept you -@Ambrosine into the Lagoon. You shall be my Gentry, Your husband the same if he wishes to come as well. Because I have seen Vermier's strength I will make him Barony to the Lagoon. If you feel this does not match him I can place him a normal member." he stated to her with honor. "Hold the Lagoon name with honor and pride as if it was your own. If you accept the ranks I handed out - I expect you, your husband, and Vermier to help around here. And any family of yours is welcome. I hope to meet them personally when they arrive. " Vasilis tells her with a nod of his crowned skull.

"The children will be welcomed here, and they will be protected and cared for as if they were also my own. I hope with this things can go smoothly in returning Amra to your side." he could only hope that things would work out for the best. "If you have family that is not already here - please have them come to the gathering in a few day's time from now. It'll be a time to relax and get to know everyone involved in the Lagoon's territory." he stands up and bows his head.

it felt as though a weight had been lifted off her shoulders, as if she had finally achieved a moment of repose and calm amongst the strong. It may be temporary, but she intended to hold onto it for as long as she could manage. "i accept your offer, but the rest will be for them to decide — thank you, dirius." she accepts, and she means each words that fall from between those party, obsidian lips. she did not suspect for there to he any issues with his proposal, but still, she would not speak for her husband or brother without them present.

"i will gather my family and friends, and when you call your meeting, i will bring them to you. thank you, again." she would gage who was interested in living in the lagoon, and go from there. hopefully they would all oblige without too much hassle, if only for the sake of them all being together within the embrace of a pride once more. offering @Vasilis a warm, reassuring smile, ambrosine would look to rise to her feet, pausing only a moment to see if the male had any parting words, before she would look to take off down to beach and gather her kin. Exit unless stopped.

"Then I will see you at the gathering at high Dusk fall." he tells her. His body shifted as he stood - moving to step back into the watery depths between the island and the mainland of the lagoon's outstretched arms. "I look forward to meeting them all. Until then - Don't hesitate to call on me for anything that you may need @Ambrosine. Enjoy the rest of your evening." he would dip his head, not too far but just enough so that his eyes would hood over as he smiled. He had to admit that they were more alike than he had ever presumed to be with someone else.

Vasilis watched her turn and head back to the island across the mainland - when she was deeper into the realm of the island outskirts, he too would turn on his heels and head back inland to his home. He would remember this day and do well to be sure his new occupants were well cared for.
