The song was done, the spell was broken but its fog still lingered. Metzli's body seemed different, as though it had exchanged souls. Her posture was returning to meekness and uncertainty, but she at least felt there was less reason to be afraid. Although. She clicked her teeth and listened, the song had done a fair job of outlining the acoustics if the cavern and guiding her paws. But she hadn't been entirely present during their waltz. What if she had been led to her death in some mystery chamber? 'What is your name?' Oh. Right. Reeling back from her doomed line of thought, Metzli blinked in consideration. Her name and dancing, both came from the same origin in her past. Or at least closely enough, but she wasn't sure if her throat would allow her to tell the entire tale. Swallowing nervously, she summoned up her ragged voice. "Metzli", she exhaled the name like the ghost that it was, the sound of something long dead hissing to life. "Learned with-" A shudder and hacking cough interrupted her for a few beats before she continued on. "Teccis...tec-" Another cough, oh this wasn't working. "Brother." @Pistis |

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

Her new companion shrunk back into a more shy stance. Pistis felt for her, she was much the same. Especially in the past. Dancing had been outside her comfort zone, honestly. But the woman had seemed happy, that’s all that mattered. Then, a slow, ragged voice produced from the other. Pistis did not flinch. Though she now felt rude. It made sense, she’d survived the slice to the throat, but her voice had not. After Metzli was done speaking, Pistis responded, “That’s alright, Metzli, if it hurts you don’t need to speak.” She assured. Then coming to stand next to her. “If you wish, there is a pool ahead where you can drink and get some rest.” Pistis noted she needed to get more wormwood, it might help soothe the throat of her new friend. Help her speak on certain days. @Metzli |

A drink sounded nice, Metzli hadn't realized how parched she had become. It turned out that dancing as you travel was tiring, her pawpads were even sweating! Nodding in agreement, she fought the urge to take a step away from the lioness. It would be rude to shy away now, especially after being offered a way to find water. She could stand it, she just had to calm down. In fact, she was close enough to try asking something again. The first time had been unsuccessful but without outright saying it, signals could be mixed. Metzli pointed in the lioness's direction with her nose, letting a paw and pressing it to her own chest then turning the paw in the other lady questioningly. Metzli's own name was given, but she still did not know hers. Equal exchanges were rare and downright unexpected in life, but maybe, just maybe. It would be a fair exchange, a name for a name? @Pistis |
The eclipsed lioness agreed to go for a drink. Pistis began to move before noticing the other’s movements and stopping. It took her several moments to process, but when she did, she looked quite sheepish. “Ah! So sorry! Pistis Casimir!” She offered, smiling. Her mismatched eyes flicked back towards the tunnel towards that moon-lit pool. Lightly tapping the other with her tail tip to signal her intent to walk. Her paws started to carry her that way. “It’s actually quite a beautiful place, there’s a hole in the ceiling that the sky peaks through. I’ve thought of starting a garden there for my herbs.” She took a deep breath. Wondering if she should mention the Hollow yet. Pistis knew Gwyn would want to invite this one to their pride. She was gorgeous, obviously. But a bit nervous, like Pistis. If those scars had been done due to a pride’s neglect... well. It may be hard to convince her. -exit to new thread in Moonlit Chasm?- @Metzli |

Pistis. Not a name she'd heard before, but it was a nice one. She was sure if speaking wasn't such a hassle it would roll off the tongue nicely. She had no idea what a Casimir was, but the concept of surnames weren't so uncommon even where she was from. Metzli followed after her, listening to the description that was being weaved. She could imagine it, a gaping celestial wound in a sea of shadow that bled stars down into the under. She'd never seen something like that before, but she could still experience it in her own way. Maybe her vision of it would be even more beautiful than what it really was. She tilted her head at the mention of a garden underground. Maybe it wasn't impossible, but the idea was surprising. Maybe if the where the sun shone through was bright enough...would she bring in extra soil? These thoughts and more bounced around Metzli's mind as they tread further into the cave. /Exit to Moonlit Chasm! \o/ |
