It is late when the obsidian woman leaves her home from deep within the caverns. She waits purposely for nightfall, using the moon's light as her only beacon as she travels further from her home. There was much on her mind as she moved, not necessarily caring where she went just allowing her limbs to carry her. Of course she ends up on the beach, the sound of the waves comforting even as her emotions rage within her. She couldn't help but feel distant from @Magnus and she knew that searching for Desdemona had taken a lot out of him. While he had been searching she had been tied up with their children and even that alone had taken much out of her emotionally - they were growing up so fast, faster then she liked. But there was still so much unspoken between herself and Magnus, enough that she didn't even know where they stood with each other. She couldn't remember the last time they were intimate with one another but even so she pushed those thoughts from her mind - she couldn't allow herself to go there. She moved down the beach, watching the distant waves before she entered the ocean herself. She moved further into the water, pausing as it lapped at her ankles. She waited in silence, listening to the hum of the ocean, allowing it to calm her.

So much had happened. So much, and yet she - despite his heart being with another too - was the last thing she thought of at the end of the day. Her, and the beautiful strong children they’d reared together. Perhaps he had neglected her of late, but it had never been his intention. Now more than ever he needed to cherish his bond with @Nadia. It was exactly what she deserved. Her dark shape was prominent against the shoreline, even in the poor visibility of night. With a low chuff, Magnus would draw up alongside his wife. He would seek to brush his shoulder against hers in a show of affection, but offered little else. He knew she’d smell Desdemona on him, and so - wanting to address it quickly - the subject would be broached before little else could stew in the unknown. I’ve found her. She’s home. A pause, then, as he turned his head away from the blue horizon and back to his wife. I hope this does not upset you, Nadia. I know we had spoken about it, but…. But it could be different when the reality of it was staring you right in the face. The very beginnings of a polygamous triad rarely ran smoothly; he knew that from seeing it firsthand with his forebearers.


He did not want that to be his fate - their fate

She stands with her back facing the shore meanwhile her eyes focus on the distant waves set before her. The ocean was calming and Nadia realized just how much she missed it. Perhaps she truly was meant to be a Sigrun, what with her love for the water. It called to her, it was as if the universe knew exactly what she needed by allowing her body to lead her here. And how fitting would it be that her husband would join her, the darkness enveloping the two of them aside from the slight bit of light offered by the moon above them. "I’ve found her. She’s home." His voice garners a flick of an ear, her dark gaze never moving from the waves. Oddly enough they mimicked the same emotions that boiled within her, but she wasn't necessarily angry or upset. It was a good thing that Desdemona had been found, she knew just how much @Magnus had worried, had searched endlessly for her. It made Nadia wonder if he would do the same if it had been her that had gone missing versus the calico woman.

"I hope this does not upset you, Nadia. I know we had spoken about it, but…." Oh yes they had spoken about it after Desdemona had berated her. Nadia had felt like a doormat through all of this but the obsidian Queen remained stoic throughout it all, refusing to drop that poker face she had worked so very hard to maintain. "That's great news." She said softly, her gaze finally turning to lock onto Magnus then. He smelled of her and Nadia could simply just stare for a few long moments before returning her gaze to the ocean. "I assume you will want us to speak then?" She asked of him, because she figured if anything that was what he would want most. Nadia wanted to be happy, she really did, but in the moment all she could feel was emptiness. "Perhaps Desdemona will be in better spirits this time now that you two have reconciled." Her words came out in a low hiss, tail flicking once before falling still behind her. She had begun to crack but quickly Nadia reined her emotions back in, it was not worth stomping her feet like a child. What Magnus wanted he would get and she would not stand in the way of that.

He would have done the same. He does not know that he needs to say it, and so remains silent, but there is no doubt in the man's mind that he would tear heaven and earth apart to find @Nadia. Her soft tone is a little unsettling, admittedly, and it is far more anticipated when she would regard him out of the corner of her eye and hiss her final retort. Yes - this is what he'd expected. You will need to speak, yes, at some point. The sooner the better. The longer they dragged this out, the harder it would become. His lips pulled taut, muzzle wrinkled in displeasure. I have been a fool, Nadia. He did not like to admit it, but if he could not speak freely here - in the presence of Vellen, in the presence of his wife - then where could he? I understand your anger and I understand Desdemona's. He shook his head, frustration burning hot at the back of his neck. My love for her does not diminish my love for you - not in the slightest. I hope you know that.

He confirms that they will need to speak and Nadia is not surprised by the information. She figured the instant that @Magnus had confirmed finding Desdemona that he would want them to be on the same page, but Nadia was giving them space and time. They hadn't seen one another in a long while and she had known it had been ages considering how long Magnus had searched for the calico woman. How many sleepless nights went by endlessly searching. And Nadia would never hold ill will towards him for doing so, Desdemona had needed to be found and brought back home where she belonged. "My love for her does not diminish my love for you - not in the slightest. I hope you know that." It was then that she finally turned from the ocean, allowing a small smile to curve the edges of her lips upward as she approached him. "I know that.. though it'd be nice if you proved it." A dark glint shone in her eyes as she moved to nibble along his jawline, hoping to entice him further.

She takes it, and she takes it well. The curl of the lip and the gracious turn of the head, expression softer than before, would bring relief to the melanistic titan. Taking the cue eagerly, he would lean into her, rumbling low and content at her sweet touch. I will, he promised, tone quiet. It's the least you deserve. Lifting his skull he would seek to brush his nose along the top of her forehead affectionately. Then, straightening up, he would fix his attention back on the horizon. The children will be a year old, soon. How time had flown by - it meant that they, too, had nearly been together for a year. Happy anniversary.

"The children will be a year old soon." As soon as the words hit her she couldn't help but get misty-eyed. Nadia was quick to turn her gaze back to the ocean, allowing her emotions to settle within her before she stared at her husband once more. It was amazing to think that she and @Magnus had created this life together and had four healthy heirs to their Kingdom. It was no surprise either that each seemed to have an affinity for the water, something that he was surely proud of. Vellen was in each of them, and perhaps he was becoming a part of her too now that she had solidified her place within the Sigrun family. "They are so special each of them.. do you worry that any will not survive their .. drowning?" She pondered then as she stared up at him. The children had all done well with their initial baptism but soon enough the real test would come, whether they would be strong enough to face the ocean once more and come out victorious. It was enough to cause tremors down her spine but Nadia had faith that they would be strong enough, that nothing would stand in any of their way, not even the ocean itself.

He had never been in this position before, so could not know how it would feel to send his children into the waves. Pride, of course, but... Vellen could so easily wrench them from his grasp, should He wish to. Displeasure - along with a mix of many other emotions, all of them unpleasant and most of them foreign - brewed in his gut at the thought of it. Still, they would be strong in the face of it all. They had to be - there was no viable alternative. He had faith that his progeny would overcome it. They are strong - all of them. He paused, wondering how best to navigate this conversation. @Nadia had impressed him by being on board with it all in the first place - the last thing he wanted to do was send her into protective mother bear mode. Not like it was hard. They will return to us. I have faith. Vellen only takes the weak. And he would not consider any alternative.

At his mention of Vellen only taking the weak Nadia could not help and think of Brigid and her loss of sight; it was an interesting outcome and one that she couldn't help but wonder if it would occur with any of their children. Nonetheless they would need to prepare both mentally and physically for what was to come for them. Nadia knew then that they would need as much support as possible, the sooner that they had Desdemona on board with all of them the better as well. She offered @Magnus a soft smile, moving to lean into him then as she allowed herself to bury her face in his chest for a few moments. "We will prepare them then.. but for now, how about we head back home for some alone time?" She offered then with a cheeky grin, reaching up to quickly place a chaste kiss upon his cheek before moving to make her way back to the Hollows, confident that he would follow.

It would be a thought for another time. Magnus did not see the need to stew on things; the fate of his children - as important as it was - included. Nadia sought to bury herself closer into his embrace, and the titan would lift his head to rest it on her skull. There was chaos all around them - some of it self-inflicted, quite frankly - but, right here and right now, it was just the two of them. The High Sovereign knew it best to take advantage of their solitude; in their busy family unit, it was rare to get alone time. With a pleased rumble he would rise to his paws simultaneously to his wife, reluctant to leave the views behind but keen to follow @Nadia back into privacy.
