@Elijah? the small cub frowned as gwyn seemed to be looking to pawn her off (an irrational thought, but she was only three months old...) and she glared up at him. "wanna stay wiff you." he was somebody she knew. he was safe. but asteria was smart enough to realize that he was beginning to limber himself up, ready in case he was called up. young though she was she didn't quite understand why he would need to fight - from what she knew he had no pride. "why you fight?" did he have a good reason, at least?
maybe questioning him wasn't the smartest thing, but it was the only way she would learn.. her gaze did follow his in the direction of the pale coated male, the one she assumed he meant by elijah. it snapped quickly back to gwyn, though, hoping that it would not come to it and he would be able to stay put. he was still hurt, anyway - fighting wouldn't be a smart move! asteria pouted a little, but still spoke up again. "protectin' cub is good reason." she agreed with that, at least. for that she would fight, too. if, you know, she wasn't a cub herself... heck, even that might not stop her. heaven knows she was currently crouched down, mimicking gwyn, as if she, too, might jump in to the fray.
She could not ignore the sounds any longer. Knowing that she wasn't a fighter, Avana still knew she needed to go towards the sounds of chaos. Only in their most desperate of times did her mother ever flee from a fight; when her father told them all to run. Any other time, though, Hanneth always ran towards where she was needed most, though never without a bundle of herbs in tow. As such, knowing that all the other lions in the pride who were more equipped to fight in whatever was going on in the Rainforest, Avana set to work grabbing whatever she could from her den before setting off towards what she hoped would not be the death sentence of any of her family members, not when she just got them back.
Running towards the lands that had been ripped from her brother's paws, the young Hodari clutched a wide array of herbs wrapped in a broad leaf from one of the Mire plants. She was getting better at knowing what to do with herbs and how best to help others. If there was fighting going on, then the need for healing wouldn't be far behind. The sounds of war sent a sickened feeling into the pit of her stomach. Every ounce of her being screaming that she should be running the other way, that she should stay in the Mire, but Avana could not ignore her brother's call or the scents of numerous family members heading in this direction as the strawberry lass pressed on.
The sight was madness. Lions strewn about the Rainforest, fights breaking out everywhere. Her brothers, Roan and Kiton, were engaged in battles while other members of the Mire seemed to be fighting against lions of the Bluffs. The scents of many prides were present in the air as she tried to find any non-fighting family members. Avana arrived only in time to see her father being attacked while Reti was attacking his attacker from behind. The briefest flickers of excitement at seeing @Reti ♔ came and went in the blink of an eye while more chaos entered the girl's line of sight. The maned girl found @Hanneth near their kin before watching her give a cub towards some natives. @Faelyn was nearby as well, seemingly instructed to stay with the cub, but before Avana got near enough to investigate that, she followed after her mother towards a fallen woman. Coming up alongside the bronze woman, the maned girl set down her herbs at their paws. "Mom, I have herbs if it will help any..." Avie's voice was meek, but aiming to be helpful as she looked between her mother, @Circe, @Arjana, @Jewel and whoever else might be around. Looking at the collapsed woman, though, the strawberry lass wondered if it might just be better to get her out of here and figure out what to do for her then.
