July Y13
Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

Since their last encounter, Drakon wanted to make sure that Hecuba was alright. Yes, he was still in the Hollow but he had to figure out a way to really exclude himself from anything. He was being cautious of Gwyn but at the same time wasn't making any moves that would cause him to lose trust in the Casimir. However, today he was not worried about that as he made his way towards the Cove where he knew Hecuba would be. Ears twitching as he paced along the borders calling out for his wife. Surely they were still husband and wife? Drakon couldn't think of any other way to call her but his wife.

Hecuba felt awful. Her head was swimming, her stomach had been completely unable to keep anything down and she was exhausted beyond belief. For a time she had assumed it was a stomach bug, but now.. she wasn't so sure. The same fog occupied her mind as it had when her pregnancy with the girls had begun, and Hecuba had a strong idea it had the same cause. As per her last pregnancy, she was absolutely terrified.
Drakon's voice rang out and she hesitated, biting her bottom lip. God. What timing. She moved from the den moments later, slinking through the territory she was beginning to learn and love. It was home.. for now.
"Hey," she called when she finally spotted him, trotting towards him.. and suddenly veering off to get sick in a nearby bush. Yum.

He wasnt left waiting long but he grew concerned for her when she verged off and got sick. Without a second thought of trespassing, Drakon crossed into the territory to meet her half way. "You alright?" Concern laced his features and voice. Ears twisting in his mane as he looked her over for any physically signs that hed be able to see.

Hecuba couldn't help the nausea. Shit, she hadn't even eaten anything to retch back up and yet there she was, coughing up bile that she quickly covered over with dust. Ugh, no thanks. Hecuba groaned as she turned back to her husband, ears splayed to the sides of her head. "I think I'm pregnant," she huffed, not entirely sure whether or not that was a good thing or bad. Hecuba slumped onto her haunches and then promptly onto her side, content to lay down and die from nausea right then and there.

Her announcement was shocking as he looked at her as Hecuba laid there on the floor. "What.." He hadn't expecting to have more children so soon but yet; here she was saying just that. Slowly he moved closer to her and brushed against her cheek and lounged behind her. "Are you sure?" He just wanted to make sure. He just didn't want to get excited over it and it not be true, not that he was really questioning her announcement. But now, this put him in a spot on whether he would choose to stay in the Hollow or come to the Cove.
Was she sure? Well, no. Not entirely. It was either that or some kind of virus, but she had never been prone to getting sick. Her immune system was strong and she was healthy, plus she recalled a very similar feeling when she had first become pregnant with Cassandra and Hydra. "I can't say for sure," she sighed, "but it feels like the start of my first pregnancy." Perhaps it was just a coincidence? Hecuba didn't know, she just had a solid guess. So much for waiting until things had settled down to even begin thinking about cubs, huh?

He looked to her sides then and though she wasn't huge like with the girls, Drakon watched her closely. He would put an arm around her, holding her closely to his side as he would let out a sigh. "I know you.. we weren't ready for this.. but I am going to be happy regardless." He would state bluntly. Would this be a fresh start for them? "How is the other one doing?" He hadn't even thought about him til now.

As much of a slug as she felt, Hecuba didn't mind him nearly propping her against him. Shit, if he wanted to carry her everywhere for the next few months, she wasn't opposed. A sigh slipped from her lips as he stated the obvious: they hadn't been ready for another litter. Yeah. Yeah, he could say that again. He was happy, though, and she shot her stomach a withering look. What were the odds these babies would survive? Would some dumb shit happen like before? Hecuba wasn't ready to experience that kind of fucking loss again, particularly not so soon. Ah, but the other boy. "He's fine." she didn't really know, but wasn't going to elaborate.
"What if these cubs hate us, too?"

She gave him a vague answer about the boy she had found and Drakon hummed to himself but wouldn't push it any further than that. But then her question rang in his ears and Drakon would glance down to her side and would let silence fall between them as he began to think. Hydra and Cassandra had been very hostile towards them. As well as his first children, but he was working on that with Ram.. Hopefully. "They won't." He would state, though he wasn't entirely sure he had to have hope. Especially for Hecuba's sake right? However, this go round he wouldn't abandon his children with Hanneth again.
He sounded so confident, but she had felt the same once. Pregnant with her girls, she has felt ready to raise the next generation of badass bitches.. and it was entirely possible she had done too good of a job. They weren't even a year old yet and were out and about living their lives, probably getting the snot beat out of them and doing the same in return. They were little disasters, but they were hers. She could only hope that circumstances would not force her to make such decisions as it had before. Sending them away had been a mistake; she was not interested in making these cubs her enemies. "I hope you're right." Hecuba reclined up against him, sighing.
