Kasia heard the scrapping sounds before she ever picked up on the scent of the animal. So it was the noise that had her moving and looking to investigate on what was going on. It was as she drew near that she spotted the blesbok supposedly sharpening its horns. At least that was what it looked like what it was doing to her.

A call was sent up to alert the rest of the pride to their visitor. A little help wouldn't hurt in trying to take down this animal. It would also give her a further chance to prove herself a capable hunter.

Morrigan opened her eyes with an irritated expression already plastered on her maw, wondering what that awful sound echoing into her den was. She wanted to kill it. Opening her jaws with a wide yawn, the dark warrior then rose into a stretch. Following the noise was easy enough and she found Kasia already there, hearing the hunter's chuff on the way. Morrigan hung back, waiting for directive as she'd likely just be used to block the small animal in. She didn't might her skillset being brute force though, it made these things simple, especially when the prey kept foolishly trapping itself in the walls.

Did animals usually so blatantly ignore the borders, walking straight into this den of lions? And did they do it so incessantly, carving their antlers along their ancient cavern walls and serenading them all with an aggravating cacophony? Avaneira had been resting next to @Morrigan, content to spend these early hours resting while the air was still humid and heavy with rain. She blinked the sleepiness away from her gaze, her body aching from all her hunting and sparring but always ready to feel the thrill of taking down prey. Her sheepishness suddenly fell away at the smell of the blesbok, the thrumming of her excited heart bleating out the scraping of its antlers.

She kept telling her son that he should branch out and make friends now that they were amid a proper pride of lions. Dijana worried about young Branimir, but when it came to her own social life, it was clear that she was being neglectful. The sound of an oblivious creature wandering within the hollow caused a spike of excitement to surge through her as she stalked carefully through the tunnels, her whiskers and superior night vision allowing her to avoid bumping into any walls during her travels.
She brought up the rear of several other lionesses, content to fall into easy silence as they stalked toward the thing hungrily. It was the easiest thing in the world for a lion to do, and it required no fancy first impressions--only to run fast and bite faster.

The annoying creature didn't stand a chance against the group that descended upon him and very rapidly paid for his mistake. She'd really been enjoying that sleep with @Avaneira curled up at her side and wanted to go back to that if only for a little while longer. She hadn't gotten much sleep in recent nights as she'd been all over Amaryllis recently, so once the disturbance was settled and the adrenaline wore off, Morrigan let out a large yawn, content to let the huntresses make quick work of the kill. She'd eaten the night before and really just wanted to resume her rest so she would attempt to headbutt her sister's shoulder affectionately before taking her leave back to their den, happy to be joined by her if she wished but if not that was okay too. exit morrigan

Others had answered her call, even if it weren't as many as last time. Still, it was enough to know that a few chose to listen to her, a familiar face among them even if there wasn't a name to put towards it. And even though the gathering was small it was still enough to take down the blesbok. Right now that was what mattered the most, a successful hunt. Kasia was determined to prove herself capable.

He ridge backed lioness didn't bother with taking a token for herself. There weren't many here and so she would leave it to those whom wanted to eat of the kill. It didn't feel to be enough to even be worth taking back to the cache. "Good job everyone. Thanks for help. Enjoy, fill yourselves." And with those parting words Kasia was retreating back into the caverns.

Kasia Exits

Avaneira was swiftly after her sister. The blood of the hunt washed from her paws with a few purposeful licks, and the carcass heaved into their stores for later consumption - at least, what they had not already consumed eagerly. When all was said and done, the ghost went to settle alongside @Morrigan, returning the bump to her shoulder with a swift lick across the other woman's forehead, a small smile flittering onto her lips, the sweetness of their success felt in the quietness of the hollow around them. Giving a brief nod toward @Kasia and @Dijana for their efforts, she swiftly ducked back toward her den, intent on rejoining Morrigan in their shared cat nap.

"Great job, everyone," Dijana praised through breathy pants as she recovered from their swift kill, smiling over at the trio of lionesses as that sweet dopamine flowed through her veins. She would not deny herself a few bites as a reward for her work, but the majority of what she tore from the animal would be carried back into the caverns for her son to enjoy. Even having clearly hit puberty, she would be diligent in her duty of feeding her cub.
Cleaning up the last remnants of some mess, Dijana turned on her heels to stalk back to her sleeping quarters. It was far from a get-to-know-you session with the girls, but she refused to let it dampen her spirits.
