The orange faced lady was fired up. Having had a chat with Aarani not long before she did hope they hadn’t woken up the pride with the yelling in the middle of the night. Thought after everything was said and done Arjana was on edge. She had checked on @Atlas to make sure everything was ok with her before she left the den. Moving away through the night she prowled with a look of confidence upon her face. She was a lioness on a mission who had re-found herself and her shiny spine. She remembered why she had joined the Bluffs and what her roll was. She was a hunter and she’d be damned if she allowed the pride to keep going hungry. Her wounds were almost completely healed just a few scabs on her shoulder remained.

Going to the cache she looked at it. Scolding herself as she organized it. Seeing what they had. Moving some that was nothing but bones to one pile so that anyone who just wanted bones could just come over and easily take what they wanted rather than picking through the food. Once done she moved away to go search for something to hunt. By then the dawn had arrived and so she let out a wake up call to all those able bodies. ’Get up it’s time to hunt.’ Afterwards she’d wait for the pride to gather.

She was awake and ready to serve, an early riser. Dior was actually intending to do a spot of solo hunting when the call rang out. Hearing an invite to gather, an opportunity to bond with those she had yet to meet and get to know well, the woman was eager to take this by the reigns.

She'd arrive swiftly, finding only herself and a striped woman. A chuff in greeting was offered, crown dipping as well. She'd seen her at the earlier fight training. So she held a rank that allowed her to gather others as well. It seemed Zoticus trusted women well enough to let them guide his pride alongside him. Good to know. It made Dior positive that she could work her way up the ranks, should she put the effort in.

It seemed something of a challenge tossed her way - unofficially of course. But a welcome one all the same.

"Hello. Not sure if you remember me, I'm Dior." she'd greet the lioness with a grin. "I prefer fighting, but I've been teaching myself to hunt as well. I'd be grateful for any tips you have to offer." she'd settle on her haunches, knowing that they'd have to wait for others to gather as well before they had a true hunting party.

Circe was the next to appear, more than ready to meet the call to aid in the hunt. Arjana had already mentioned the need for it, and was pleased that she was- indeed- following her word. Another of them had also appeared, a woman named Dior. She had to say, it was pleasing to see another strong woman who called herself a fighter. The more, the merrier.

"Arjana." She greeted with a smile, dipping her head to the Gentry, then turning to the maned lioness with the same amount of regard. "A pleasure, Dior. Arjana would definitely be the one to ask. She's a fine hunter, if not one of our best." Even despite the hiccups... Otherwise. But she was willing to put that aside, so long as it stayed aside. She greatly preferred this version of the woman that was a vertebrate.

"My name is Circe, by the way." If she didn't know it yet already. It never hurt to have reminders. Their pride was getting bigger, after all.

Ayaka groaned loudly as she rolled over and stretched out. She didn't want to not show up but she didn't want to get up either. The yearling growled under her breath as she pushed herself up and went to find out why they had to gather now. She made her way through the lands and was feeling more at ease. It seemed like things would be stable here. She hoped so at least. She arrived to see someone she didn't know so she went to stand next to @Circe as they all chattered. When it seemed ok she tossed her own name in. "Ayaka." Otherwise she watched and waited to see what would be happening.

It was probably the hardest line he'd draw, barring "females don't rule".

There was some deep seeded fear that even Viné wasn't wholly conscious of that made him bulk at the idea of doing 'woman's work'. Of course, he wouldn't ever say such things out loud; it wouldn't do to let his misogynistic ideas bleed freely, he wanted to keep at least one woman around, at least.

No, he wasn't here to help hunt. He was here to get a look at the members of the pride he'd avoid up until this point. To get an idea of what kind of females Zoticus kept in his company. And females he found. He did a second take at the fully maned female; his mind a wash of confusion for several seconds (and then several more for other reasons). Skillfully he stamped those down, and instead put his mind to the task.

Moving across the Bluffs she sniffed the air taking in the chill the pushed through her fur. Eyes closed she waited for a group to gather and those who did wasn’t a bad looking good. She had wished more had come but that didn’t matter right now. “Don’t worry @Dior I’ll teach you my tricks. When it comes down to it in away it is a lot like fighting.” She said quietly reassuring the maned lioness before looking at @Circe. Giving a smile to her she nodded her head. “Thanks that means a lot to me.” She was thankful to the red Noble and her support.

Seeing @Ayaka she nodded her head to her and was glad to see her there. “Always a pleasure to see you out and about involving yourself in the pride Ayaka.” She purred honestly as the last to arrive was a male who didn’t seem very pleased to be here. Oh well @Viné could get over himself. Nodding to everyone she motioned for them to follow. “So what do you smell on the wind?” She asked everyone but mostly Dior and Ayaka. Lifting her head slightly to get a better whiff. To her she could smell scents of something interesting something she was surprised to smell here.

Moving slow and low she motioned for everyone to get down as they got close. Hiding behind as rock she looked out from over it to see an elephant. A single lone elephant. Normally she wouldn’t even try but she was feeling determined to show she was a serious and strong member of this pride. “This is going to take cunning, strength and you all are going to need to listen if we are to take this down. I want Circe and Ayaka to go to the right everyone else will go to the left. We will draw it to the edge of the mountain long the Bluffs. Trap it before attacking. Our best bet is to make it bleed. Tiring it out as much as possible.” She instructed everyone before looking right at Dior and Vine. They where built for battle therefore their strength would be useful in finishing it off. “but try to save your energy your strength will be needed. When it becomes tired go for the neck.” Done giving out orders she hoped everyone would listen to her and no one would get hurt.

She smiled back to @Arjana, before her instructions caused the features on her face to return to something more serious and in-focus. An elephant... This would indeed take all of their effort together to bring down, hopefully without any injuries. The massive pachyderms were nothing to sneeze at, one stomp or swing of the trunk could break bones.

This would be a serious endeavor, and frankly she was glad Zoticus was sitting this one out.

Lioness, lion, it didn't matter in the scheme of it- Arjana had quickly formulated a plan and given each of them a task. The Noble looked upon @Dior and @Viné to make sure they understood the plan that she was putting forth, before nodding herself and turning to @Ayaka.

"Come with me." She said, ticking her tail in a motion to summon her forward. As soon as the younger lioness was at her attention, Circe would waste no time trying to get them into position. "Nervous?" She questioned only for Ayaka herself to hear, knowing that this could be a rather intimidating hunt, and she was young. She'd keep an eye out for her safety, just as well as she would all of them. Circe herself, on the other paw, was actually pretty damn excited for this.

An elephant was a tall order, and he wondered why their lead hunter had decided to take on such daunting prey. She had a sound plan however. they'd heard it towards the cliffs and block it in. What surprised him most was being paired with the fully maned female. Arjana was right of course, both he and Dior were more fighter then hunter, but maybe that was what had given her the gull to take on a behemoth. To the left hum? He nodded, never big on words to begin with, his split gaze casting towards Dior and he nodded his chin in her direction. Time to work for their meals.

With everyone knowing the plan she got into place and waited. She gave everyone a few moments to get into place and gather their nerves before the signal was given. Making her move she watched everyone and counted on them for this to go well. She trusted them, they where ready. The pride was strong and in the end the hunt was successful. It was a challenge for sure, and there was a few things that could have been done better, but that wasn’t important. They worked together and down came their prey. Panting like crazy she scanned over everyone with pride. “Congratulations everyone! Well done on such a feast!” She called out to them. A happy and proud smile on her face. “Let’s dig in!” She added before eating until she was full and than walking off to have a much needed nap.
