The night's howling storm had caught her suddenly, off guard and unprepared. The hurricane had swept her up into its violent embrace and tossed her aside like she was nothing. Mercilessly the storm raged and ravaged- how she got from the Lagoon clear to the Cay was left to the imagination. Come the morning after the storm she was left abandoned by its waves and winds on the sands. She was soaking wet- involuntary shivers running down each and every inch of her slicked down, sandy clay fur. Her breathing was raspy and the water in her lung gurgled. Every other breath she sputtered and spit out some water.

Summer
With the last of the rainfall seeming to have swept across the peninsula, summer days await! The days are warm, though comfortable, and peeter off into more mild evenings while the humidity remains low. It is the perfect inbetween until things transition towards more sweltering temperatures, so best enjoy it while it is here.

She wasn't normally keen on coming out of the Brook but in some cases, she wanted to know about the world outside. Granted, she didn't get to close the Cove or Lagoon, even when she had heard the call up which only meant that it was disbanded and whoever had been ruling is missing once again. However, she wasn't about to test her limit and go looking for Xerxes as much as she would love to so for now she ventured out towards the Cay where she would end up finding another. The spitting and coughing caught her attention and Bei would move towards it before seeing the soaked woman. "Oh my.. What happened?" She would coo at the yearling before her curious and wanting to help her but didn't know much about.

Loudly a gull caw'd over head, its dark shadow flashing overhead streaming and screaming. Sio could feel the sands and ground shifting around her. Someone coming closer and moving? Sto-Storm. Sio sputtered out her answer. She lifted her head with what seemed to be a painful amount of effort. The world span and remained fuzzy at the edges. There was sky, there was ground, everything in between misshaped and blurred into each other. Was this pink thing the one talking to her? She felt heavy, groggy, and almost immediately groaned and laid her head back down into the sand.

Oh dear. Her heart thummed in her chest as she would listen to the woman speak about a storm and Bei glanced around their surroundings. There were branches, and leaves misplaced and Bei could understand where she got a storm from. But the idea of a lioness being swept away by one was troublesome. Moving closer, Bei would sniff her before wrinkling her nose. She smelled of the sea. "Mmm... Let me see if I can find something to help you get that water out of your lungs and get you warm." She would glance around until she would sigh. It didn't look like there was any herbs here but she had an idea and would look to the woman. "I'm going to push on your back and maybe that will help get some of the water out of your lungs.. Is that okay?"

Warm. That sounded like a dream, a far off place too distant for her to reach. It was subtle and slight, maybe missed, but Sio smiled a little below her dreamy and not here pained look as she thought of being warm. She was not a fan of her Lagoon home but when she thought of warmth she thought of laying in the sands after they'd been baked all day by the sun. It was while she thought of this that the reality dawned back in her and her eyes grew with worry and alarm. There'd been a storm. Right. There was water in her lungs. It came back rather quickly and with some feverish franticness (or as much as a tired stormworn woman could muster) she nodded consent to @Aardbei.

With consent to push on her back, Bei would gently begin to massage her back. Pushing down when she got down below the ribs and went upwards towards her neck. Bei was hoping with this pressure that perhaps some of the water would come out of the woman's lungs, if not, Bei was going to have to find another way to do help her out and there was a chance that this woman was not going to be able to go much of a distance. Bei could already feel that she was hot to the touch of her paw pads and the only thing that Bei could think of that could have was no where near them and in the mountain's. So.. Maybe if she got some water out of her lungs it'd help and then Bei would think of something before the fever set in to much.

At the first touch Siofra winced below @Aardbei's paw, her muscles involuntarily reacting while her brain sent a pulse of high energy electricity down her spine. Her conscious memory of the storm was fuzzy but some deeper part of her soul and brain remained on alert, on edge. With a moment longer Siofra began to relax. The touches were not hurtful, they helped. The pressure was grounding if nothing else and offered enough encouragement to her body to expel the rest of the water in her lungs that she began to sputter cough again. At first dry, a tiring hack that turned productive and she coughed up bile sickening sea water onto the sand beside her. The hair along her spine rode upwards like a wave, the entire length of her muscles shook with the last cough that turned into a weakened moan. Young clay woman sighed then, looking weak still, tired and defeated, but with a little less of a sickly glow in her eyes and with breathing that sounded more clear. My thanks. Her peach eyes sought Aardbei's vision. Can I ask you to help me further? That storm... I need to check on my home. The Lagoon.

At first, Bei didn't think that what she was doing was going to help but the clay woman began to cough and throw up the water near them in the sand and Bei would give a few more rubs and pushes along her spine before finally stopping and moving away from the woman. A thanks was given to Bei and she would nod her head back. But then she was asked to help more and Bei would glance towards the direction of the Lagoon and then back. "If that's what you want sure.. But I heard someone calling a claim on it before I found you.."

... then I do really have to go. She had to see. Immediately all her worries and the trauma she'd suffered when her father first disappeared began to rise up again. It overtook all her good sense. It didn't matter how foolish running off to a new lion's claim would be, not knowing who it was or what she would find there. As she relieved her worst fears they multiplied. Her younger siblings? Of them? There was an urgency below the stiffness of her motions. Her limbs were finding place below her and beginning to lift her up. She groaned under her breath, kept her eyes closed to fight the dizziness as she rose up. Stay or follow me, I don't care. She was going to get back to the Lagoon even if it took her the rest of the day. And seeing how tired she looked as she rose up and began to take a few steps it might be just an all day thing... Her peach eyes flickered to life and made sure to take a good look at small @Aardbei. Siofra's words had been harsh, stern and cold but the thankfulness she had just expressed had not left her eyes.
She could hear the urgency in the female's voice and before she could voice her own concern, @Siofra was up on her feet. Bei would chew the inside of her lip before moving towards the woman, standing beside her. "I don't know why you'd want to go back, and even if I told you to at least rest for a bit and then go, you'd probably wouldn't listen so I'm coming with you." She would state bravely. Bei didn't know where this came from, nor realized that this was a daughter of Gwyn, but she was a patient at the moment and Bei was a bit worried about her and her state. What would happen once she didn't find what she was looking for?
