For pride news, pride history, and pride page requirements, there is a two-strike system in place. Failing any of these leadership requirements twice (at any point, not just in consecutive weeks) will result in the pride having to disband.
After feedback from the wider community, we have decided to change the way we do checks for the pride page (which includes members being listed correctly, correct trades/levels, correct ranks, correct statistics, and correct profile links).
PREVIOUS: Having 5 errors on the pride page (members, ranks, etc.) during a check will count as a strike. This was done weekly.
NEW: If applicable, pride leaders will be sent a list of existing pride page errors on a weekly basis, regardless of how many there are (could be 1 error, could be 6 errors). Pride leaders have 24 hours after being notified to fix the error(s), or else it will count as a strike against them.
This is effective as of this announcement. More information on leadership requirements and the strike system can be found in the Guidebook, here.
There have been a few minor aesthetic changes to the Guidebook formatting, including:
- Quick links have been added to the top of the Character Creation, Character Details, and Pride Leadership pages to help jump you to important parts of the page, versus needed to scroll or dig.
- Pride hunt tiers have been added to the Pride Life page for ease of access, as well as still being found on the Hunt System page.
- The Trades page has been revamped with the addition of tabs. Each trade now has its own “sub-page” that should make it easier to find the information and experience details that you need! Big thank you to @Naya for making these work! <3
If you have any other ideas for the formatting of the Guidebook, feel free to reach out to @Squid via Discord or PM so that the suggestions can be reviewed!
After much input and discussion, we have finally come to the end of the Trade Task Exp Contest! The final round of the contest have been posted here with the official results, and the Staff team would like to offer a huge thank you to everyone who was involved, gave ideas, and voted!
These new trade tasks are now in the Guidebook and can be used by everyone!
Hearing and polling everyone's thoughts allowed us to get a better idea of what you all are looking to get out of the trade system, to incorporate some creative new ways to earn experience, and to provide more flexibility to trade tasks ICly.
Also, if you participated, don't forget to claim your petals!
We had a few concerns about the wording and understanding of the thread requirements for claiming petals and trade experience. The current wording is: "threads require 10+ posts, with exits".
The new wording and requirement is: "threads require 10+ posts, with exits on or after post #10". This is effective as of this announcement. Any pending trade or petal requests that were posted before this will be processed according to the previous wording. Any trade or petal requests posted after this will need to follow this new clarification.
We realized that there was a small gap in our litter system that did not allow for the flexibility that we wanted to get out of our dice-rolled litters.
As a result, you will now see a new distinguishment when making cub requests: genetic mutations versus random mutations. Our previous way of rolling seemed to fall short and stunt design potential -- but with the new formatting, cubs will now be able to roll multiple mutations and take into account the parental genetics more accurately.
We hope that this provides for more variety in our litters from here on out!
We are still looking for input on what Staff could offer as purchasable board-wide plots from the Petal Shop. If you are interested or would like to learn more, please take a look at this thread, and let us know your thoughts!
