October 11, 2024 Something is happening in the Scorched Wilds. There is a battle raging between a familiar force and an unfamiliar one. What will you do? Help or hinder?

October 1, 2024 Spooky things are happening as the afterlife start walking among the living once again.

September 30, 2024 Louve Dieudonné manages to keep Wolfbron Bluffs in the family. What will happen between the Bluffs and the otherwise peaceful pride of Lorien Plains?

September 20, 2024 Ilarion Rurik challenges for Wolfbron, will the Dieudonné lead pride fall?

September 8, 2024War broke out once again in the Lagoon when a wedding had some uninvited guest arrive. The war results in the most death matches the island has seen at once. The Summit was challenged by Brighid with Talisa answering the call. After many years of the Summit have the same two leaders, the Summit changes hands. What will this mean for the balance of Amaryllis? A witch hunt has started by Luther and Miaran which seems to be turning things on an island that is full of magic.

August 25, 2024 War broke out in the challenge for the Lagoon after Cassius tries to take the Lagoon from Isla. The Cove remains with Miaran. The leadership of the Mire switches from Sigrún hold to Rike when Luther comes back to take his birthland back. Elephants push into the Rainforest and push out the lions there. Soon after Lucifer lays claim to his birthland and takes over the Rainforest.

June 27, 2024 Conflict and tensions rise as prides come head-to-head with one another across Amaryllis - just as Pyrrha and Cassius take the leap to try and claim (or reclaim) their own thrones.

May 24, 2024 Rulers continue to shift, family strife ensues, and, per usual, tensions seems taunt and always lingering on the horizon.

April 24, 2024 Things are rocky within Amaryllis as the Dieudonne clash result in three deaths and forces a shift in the rulership of Firnen Rainforest. With Caladan Cove freshly overturned as well, what will the consequenecss of these events be?

March 30, 2024 The lull has ended as a long standing family, the Dieudonné, launch death matches against their own. The Plains sees a challenge from a new comer, Aphrodite, and the quite pride is pushed into the spotlight.

March 19, 2024 A momentary lull has overtaken the lands of Amaryllis as its inhabitants attempt to find their footing and rebuild after a string of challenges. How long it will last, however, nobody can be quite sure.

February 11, 2024 The Mire has fallen from the Stärke family and is now held by Luther Rike. The change has stirred but the fighting nature of those on the island. The Brook finds a new leader with Icefang and Isla takes over the Lagoon after a storm pushes out the old leader. Reti finds himself the leader of the Hollows after Alexander is hurt. The Oasis finds a new leader in Léonie who is soon tested by Harou.

January 8, 2024 The snow has finally begun to melt anew, which means that the world is slowly returning to the much-anticipated summer season. With the various holiday activities and the other jests put on by Nafasi also coming to a close, it is safe to say that winter is finally over.

December 5th, 2023 Nafasi had pulled a cruel trick and has sent Amaryllis back into a renewed winter season! But it's not all bad, because the lands will also see a handful of holiday-themed events popping up as a result. To make things more interesting, a wayward trio of travlers have also arrived and are facilitating a mass competition between the prides, bands, and rogues -- formally dubbed the Amaryllis Winter Games.

December 2nd, 2023 The spring air brings forth a number of pride challenges. A familiar challenger for the Cove and the Oasis arrive to try to earn what they want. The new leader of the Lagoon is tested in battle as well. What changes will come from the challenges? Who will remain standing and who will find their world turned upside down?

November 27th, 2023 In a challenge between mother and daughter, the leadership of Wolfbron Bluff changes for the first time in 5 IC years.

November 22nd, 2023 Two death matches, one resurrection, and an almost-war later, the lands find themselves in a constant state of turmoil and calamity. Families have been torn apart and endless blood has been spilt; but how is it all going to end?

November 3rd, 2023 The lands stir violently as a death match rages on between Aeistrios Saxe and Morrigan Greyflood. Observers spill into the pit in droves to witness what will no doubt be a historic battle -- and it is clear that this familial fued is far from over, no matter who wins and who dies.

October 12th, 2023 With winter comes the surge of more pride challenges; Ludivine challenges Ryker for Firnen Rainforest and is victorious in her endeavors, meanwhile an outcropping of maims breaks out on the sidelines. In a shocking turn of events Luther returns to challenge Bruno for Ecrosia Mire, will the former heir prove victorious or has Bruno got what it takes to keep his brother's ambitions at bay? This has undoubtedly shaken things up as Bruno declares war against Andal Oasis and Allies in the process!

Summer
Summer is in full swing now, with clear skies, warm nights, and ample sunshine! As such, the deserts begin to grow dry, the shores remain a blissful escape, the north is spared with cooling winds, and humidity continues to rise in the jungle. Rain and storms are long forgotten troubles by now, which is both a virtue and a vice during the heat of the season.

don't hold a glass over the flame, don't let your heart grow cold

squaring up to a bunch of cannibals just wasn't enough excitement for @Ilarion and his family. now, after years of a marriage rocked by spiritual interference, a possession, a maiming, leaving amaryllis, coming back, leaving amaryllis again, coming back again and challenging for a pride... the lorien plains noble and his fadestouched husband @Kazimir have been blessed with children. and not just one or two, either; maua really went all out with these guys and gave them the maximum of five! ironic, considering the pair of avid non-believers. these wisp cubs will be viewed as a blessing from the spirits of clanmates past, and fiercely cherished and protected. expectations will be fairly high, but the support and encouragement these cubs will receive in their pursuits as they grow up will be second to none. there are two baby bears out of five up for grabs, with the potential for one of them to be abyss. we have one boy and two girls so far in this litter; we have no preference on amab or afab applications at this point.

expectations — at this point, ilarion is my main character, and despite his age i still have big plans for him. bun and i REALLY want an active litter, with an emphasis on bonding and building relationships and forging different and fun dynamics. the rurik legacy truly begins with these guys, so there's lots of potential here! these cubs will have two doting dads, as well as an eclectic mix of extended relatives starting to trickle in. these kids will be the glue to bind together a fledgling clan, and the future of the bloodline. no pressure...

adoption clause — we - @Bunny and i - reserve the right to reclaim these guys and put them back up for adoption in the event that their player lets them fall inactive before they reach one year old. we also ask that you speak to us before you seek to involve your cub in plots that may drastically affect their welfare and/or life, such as kidnapping, maiming, murder etc... we love the tea but hate being blindsided! so, please make sure you are aware of these clauses before you make an application, to save any confusion or disappointment down the road - thank you!

read more about the rurik clan here; this doc will cover naming themes, typical physical/mental traits, as well as the expectations that will fall on these cubs once they grow up.

credit to drifty!

i will call you by name, i will share your road

PLEASE SEE MY INDIVIDUAL CHARACTER PROFILES FOR MY POSTING SCHEDULE, and bear this in mind before messaging me for replies - thank you!

RUZHA RURIK

cleric/barbarian
the chosen

There’s something different about her. Everyone sees it, though no one says it outright. It’s in the way her fathers’ gazes linger, not with the warmth they show her siblings, but with something weightier—expectation. From an early age, she knows she’s being watched, not just by her family, but by the Spirits themselves. And while she doesn’t fully understand it yet, she knows it means she’s supposed to be something more.

She doesn’t need to raise her voice. When she speaks, even as a cub, there’s an authority behind her words that silences any argument. It’s not that she wants to be bossy—it’s that she can’t stand the chaos that comes when others fumble or waste time. When her siblings are too loud, too clumsy, she’s there with a sharp word or a cutting glance. It’s not cruelty, not really. It’s just that she knows what needs to be done, and it frustrates her to no end when others don’t.

She feels the Spirits’ presence, a quiet hum that thrums in her chest during ceremonies or when she’s near the shrines. She doesn’t talk about it, doesn’t have to. It’s not something she’d even try to explain to her siblings or the other cubs—they wouldn’t understand. It’s an unspoken connection, one that sets her apart, and that distance shows in how she interacts with them. When they ask questions or stumble over their prayers, there’s a flicker of something in her eyes—disdain, maybe, or disappointment. She never says it aloud, but her expression makes it clear: How can they not know this?

But beneath that quiet superiority is something more fragile. The pressure is always there, pressing down, heavier with each passing day. Every time her fathers watch her, every time an elder mentions her potential, it tightens around her like a noose. She’s supposed to be special, supposed to be the one who understands things better than anyone else. And so, every mistake feels like a failure not just of herself, but of the Spirits who have chosen her.

There are moments, especially when she’s alone, where the weight of it all threatens to crack the calm, controlled mask she wears. But she never lets it. Even in her quietest moments, there’s a determination that burns beneath the surface. She has to be perfect. Anything less would mean she’s not living up to what’s expected of her, and that—more than anything—terrifies her. But she never shows it, never lets anyone see the cracks.

When her siblings play, tumbling over each other in a mess of fur and laughter, she watches from a distance, not out of malice, but out of a sense of responsibility. It feels like something she can’t afford. There’s too much at stake, too much riding on her shoulders to waste time like that. When they inevitably come to her, asking why she doesn’t join in, she brushes them off with a quick retort or a dismissive flick of her tail. They wouldn’t understand anyway. Play is for those who don’t carry the weight of the clan’s future on their backs.

Her sharpness, her quick corrections, and her impatience with mistakes—these all come from the same place. She knows she’s different, knows that she’s meant for something more, and that knowledge has made her expectations for others just as high as they are for herself. But while her siblings can laugh off their missteps, she can’t. Every wrong move, every poorly spoken word, feels like another way she might let her fathers—and the Spirits—down.

Even when she scolds her siblings, there’s a flicker of something deeper in her eyes, something that’s equal parts fear and frustration. It’s not that she wants to be hard on them, but she doesn’t know any other way. If they don’t understand how important it all is, then she has to make them understand. She has to make sure they’re ready—because if they aren’t, then everything she’s worked for, everything the Spirits have seen in her, will have been for nothing.

But even with all her sharp edges, there’s a tenderness that shows itself in the quietest moments. It’s in the way she lingers by the shrines, her eyes half-closed as if listening to something only she can hear. It’s in the way her gaze softens when her fathers look at her, even though the pressure in their eyes makes her heart race. She loves them, deeply, and everything she does is to live up to what they expect of her—even if she sometimes wishes the expectations weren’t so heavy.

Still, for now, she carries it all with the calm certainty of someone who believes they can bear it. She presses forward, always striving to be better, to prove that she is worthy of the attention she’s been given. And while the weight of it may be too much one day, for now, she refuses to let it break her.

(All of this pending IC development!)

Annika Rurik
Alt Names: NIKITA II or RHAENYRA or RENA or TATIANA

Pathfinder OR Cleric ↽⇀ Barbarian OR Ranger
Colossal, brawny and muscular

Mistaken as a boy while she is initially born, Annika is nothing like one would expect a daughter to be. She's large and bulky, and as she grows older - starts to sprout a mane reminiscent of her father Kazimir's. Her very actions speak to her more tomboyish nature. She's independent and bossy - but she always defers to her father and the clan elders. She knows when to hold her tongue - at least she eventually figures it out before she gets herself in trouble. Annika realizes that with her appearance with her mane, she's likely to get some unusual looks as she grows older. But she's just as much bear as her fathers before her.

  • True Neutral
  • Judges others by the deeds she bears witness to rather than rely on simple gossip and rumors.
  • Extremely family oriented. Very devoted to her family and loved ones.
  • Unwavering and Stubborn
  • Unusually perceptive of the world around her. Can almost "see" the Spirits so near and dear to her family.
  • Perfectionist. She sees herself as needing to be the perfect picture of what a Rurik should be. Holds herself to impossible standards.
  • Rarely bows or bends to anyone except for those she respects 100%
  • Has a very unique view on romance. While she does not see her fathers as the epitome of what love is, she will always desire to have the type of relationship her fathers have.

Some general plans for her:
  • I would love for her to maybe end up in an arranged marriage when she's older, to help tie the clan to someone else or strengthen the family.
  • Max out her trades ASAP
  • Baby Bear Cub
  • I am 100% open to unplanned things, especially if you guys wanna throw random ideas at me lol
  • Will definitely allow IC events and interactions to further shape how she grows and develops

MASHA RURIK

--> cleric / barbarian
--> abyss coat (if not taken by another)
--> large/colossal ; brawny

--> A believer. A spiritualist. She sees the dead-- she knows the spirits of Clan Rurik. She will, one day, replace her father as Augur: of this, Masha is certain, and from the time she realizes that not all can see the spirits so clearly, she begins to work towards this role. There is no malice in it. There will be no anger, no spite-- simply a firm statement of intent and desire. Masha will learn the names of ancestors; she will learn their signs, and she will be their hammer, their strength. When I am strong enough, I will be the Augur. Masha takes value in the ways of Rurik ancestry, and makes no attempt to hide this. Her faith is ironclad. Her tolerance of those who would disdain her ancestry-- who would call them witches or heretics -- is none.

--> A traditionalist. The ways of the Rurik are the ways of Masha. This is ironclad in her, and will not be shaken barring some cataclysm.

--> probably considered Lawful Evil by other standards. In her older years, she will likely be one of the more bloodthirsty Council members if she attains the position.

--> With regards to her fathers, Masha will strive furiously for their approval. Their support makes her thrive, and it is because of their support that the spiritual hardliner will actually become rather jovial in her mannerisms. Masha may well want to see someone die for their lack of faith, but she has a deep belly laugh and enjoys ribald jokes.

--> She will pay little heed to the ways of outsiders. She will be capable of understanding them, of course, but she will not regard them as worth listening to. She knows the Rurik must be smart. She will, in turn, be smart. She will listen to the rumors of others, and then she will decide which ones are worth listening to.

--> Masha is gay. In her adulthood, she will take a single partner for the purpose of Rurik lineage. It is then entirely likely that this individual will wind up mysteriously dead or framed for some crime when Masha has children; she will despise this partner, and want to see him dead. This is a conflict of her nature versus the traditions she upholds so proudly. Yes, she knows that she is accepted -- but she is not doing her duty by the ancestors without this litter. This is, then, why the father must die.

maxim rurik

"greatest glory"
paladin/medic or pathfinder

colossal - cismale - dark brown - bobbed tail - extra fluffy

one that refuses to heal, one that changes, but only for the worst. one that is trapped by the grief and rage of ancient histories, but smothered by the love of their fathers.

compassionate, loving and kind but never innocent, never naive. he will be taught the harsh realities of the world for his own protection. he will stay lighthearted, but cautious. those doe-eyes do not last long outside of the brightness of childhood — but an accidental touch, a fleeting gaze, the sweep of a paw as he presses the hair out of the eyes of another while he stands just too close... that is his flavor of intimacy.

caught between the grip of somebody that wants to protect, somebody that wants to devour, somebody that wants to possess. he yearns to fix things ( people ) and make them whole. how powerful it would be to be the cure to brokenness! all the while he is embodied by messy hair and dark circles under his eyes, sorting through the omens and messages delivered by his father and siblings. knowing he is meant for something, knowing he is holy but never forgetting his mortality. ( so how could he ever, ever compete? ) if only he could fix his own sense of inadequacy.

maxim will unravel into his own narrative, soft but meant to be strong; he struggles, he fights, he wins —

he sobs for his enemies as he cleans his paws of their blood.

even with blood under his nails and a split lip, there is a light in his chest even if it doesn't always reach his eyes. he will survive, just as much as the daisies that pressed through boulders to bloom, the ivy that crawled up the mountainside and the great bear that hid away until the winter sun was warm again. maybe it is that lack of naivete that allows him to persevere, plagued by realism and the confidence that his ancestors will guide him always.

tradition and culture is paramount and will be remembered with every step that he takes. they may not be within the confines of their sacred homelands, but maxim will never forget what it is that makes him rurik.
